We pulled the MapMetrics earnings calculator after our 2026 audit: the MMAPS token is marked inactive with near-zero liquidity, and real earning requires the SPT hardware device.

The MMAPS token has been marked inactive since around February 2026, with near-zero liquidity and a price around $0.000003. We've removed the earnings estimate rather than show a misleading number.
What we found:
- Time-based, not distance. MapMetrics' own FAQ states distance traveled does not affect rewards — earning is capped at ~220 MMAPS/day (~2 hours).
- Hardware required. Meaningful earning needs the SPT (Special Position Tracker) device; app-only contribution is negligible.
- Token instability. Migrated Solana → peaq (2024), then a V2 token back to Solana SPL, with old liquidity withdrawn.
We'll restore a full calculator if the token regains liquidity and a stable reward program. Verified 2026-05-21.
