GPU (Graphics Processing Unit)

A massively parallel processor designed for matrix math, used in DePIN compute networks to run AI inference, training, and rendering workloads.

Consumer-grade GPUs (Nvidia RTX series) and data-center GPUs (Nvidia H100, A100) are both used in DePIN compute networks, though the economics differ sharply. Networks like Render and io.net allow owners to monetize idle GPU cycles by contributing them to a shared pool, with work verified on-chain before rewards are distributed.
