Token Inflation

The increase in a token's circulating supply over time due to new emissions, expressed as an annual percentage of the current supply.

High inflation dilutes existing holders unless demand grows proportionally. DePIN tokens often launch with double-digit annual inflation rates to bootstrap supply, then target single-digit rates at maturity. Operators should track the real (inflation-adjusted) yield, not just the nominal token quantity earned.
